Borras Park Albion V Coedpoeth
Result: 4-1 Win to BPA
Scorers:
Aiden x2
Toby x1
Dylan x1
Tremendous performance today by both teams. Borras played their best passing
game to date and against a weaker team they could have got a cricket score.
Some good passing led to Toby making a break into the left side of the box
and his pass/shot across the keeper found it's way into the net albeit via a
Coedpoeth leg. Coedpoeth then got an equalizer after being gifted the ball
via a simple error. 1-1.
The half time team talk was simple, keep playing the same passing game and
the results will follow. A pass from James to Aiden got Albion's second and Coedpoeth could not
deal with Aiden's brilliant feet and he calmly side footed the keeper. Dylan's pace and precision got the third and it was Aiden again who shaped
to cross but instead rifled the ball into the near side for the fourth and
final. Full credit must be given to Coedpoeth for working tirelessly and
keeping the score line down. The BPA coaches were delighted by the team play
today. Well done! Notable performances by Dylan, Toby, Kyran and Connor "A", but
today Man of the Match goes to Aiden who just keeps on getting better!

27 February 2010
Borras Park Albion V Borras Park Rangers
Result: 1-0 Win to BPA
Scorers:
Aiden x 1
A much anticipated clash saw us pit against our neighbours. The game started
at a phenomenal tempo. Albion had the better opportunities in the first half
and it was a wonderful strike from Aiden that broke the deadlock. Albion had
plenty of opportunity to kill the tie off in the first half but the bar, our
finishing and some good fortune for the visitors kept the score line to 1-0.
The pendulum then swung Rangers way in the second half but good battling
and defending kept the onslaught at bay. The last 10 minutes saw Albion raise their game
again but despite having several goal scoring opportunities another goal was
not to come. Man of the Match goes to the whole team today for a solid
performance and an important 3 points.

20 February 2010
Coedpoeth V Borras Park Albion
Result: 0-2 Win to BPA
Scorers:
Aiden x2
A different formation this week found players operating out of their comfort
zone. The first half was scrappy but Borras did produce plenty of chances.
The first goal came via the penalty spot after Aiden was brought down
in the box. Connor "A" stepped up and almost broke the bar with his
strike. The ball then took an eternity to come down and it was the penalty
maker Aiden that finished the job. The second came again via Aiden whose
footwork was a little too much for Coedpoeth to handle and he finished
nicely in the bottom right corner.
The second half saw the Coedpoeth keeper make save after save. Connor
"A" hit a "Charltonesque" 30 yarder which once again almost broke the
crossbar but alas a third goal was not to come. Notable performances by
Kyran, Toby and Connor "P" but this weeks Man of the Man
goes to Aiden for two great goals and tremendous support play.
